However, inside the Chinese colony in Trudograd, there is still division and conflicts between Chinese parties. They claim to be a considerable faction inside Trudograd, and they (presumably) still have connections with their homeland. There is a strong presence of Chinese peoples around the city, and they are so powerful that they even control the Docks.The reasons of this are discovered later in the game. It is stated at some point of the sequel that Trudograd survived almost harmlessly thanks to a secret anti-missile ballistic system that prevented the total annihilation of the city during the War, something not even Moscow had.Trudograd (Russian: Трудоград, труд and город labor and city) roughly translates to "Laborer's City", "Labor City" or "City of Labor".Trudogradians seem to be particularly scared of this shady organization. You even have the opportunity to dig up a bit about one of the members, and see an actual icon/symbol they use. Inequality is a chronic problem of the city too, with fat cats living lives of inmeasurable luxury even surpassing life quality before the war and beggars dying from starvation. Corruption is rife, and crime rate is over the rooftops (pretty much literally). Based on the rumours we heard in the first game, the Major (formerly Cadet) soon discovers that Trudograd is deep in internal political conflict, and a very dangerous threat that comes from the north makes Trudogradians feel unsafe. Trudograd becomes the new location available to explore in the sequel, and we can get now truly a glimpse of what it actually is. It is considered in the Central Wastelands as the biggest settlement of the whole USSR after the war.Īfter the ending of the first game, some characters choose to move from the central wastelands to Trudograd. Compared to Kraznosnamenny, Trudograd is a much bigger city that even gains the role of City-State, with its own political system and their own troubles. Some quest-givers come from the city, and the caravaneers describe it as a "paradise of technology" but a place where poverty and corruption is rife as well. In the first game, Trudograd is mentioned many times, including gossips from Caravaneers, random encounters with specific NPCS and certain quests that involve Trudograd in many ways. ![]()
